Today we got this awesome black 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 W-30. However, most people associate muscle cars with brands like Mopar, Chevy, or Ford. But there are other legendary American muscle cars that were made between the early sixties and the late seventies, the golden era of muscle car history.

Among the many iconic cars that have been produced over the years, one that stands out for its refinement and power is the 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Holiday Coupe, a classic muscle car that has a loyal fan base and a timeless appeal.

    1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 W-30 Rear

The Oldsmobile Cutlass belongs to the General Motors A-Body platform, a mid-size muscle car that is bigger and heavier than the pony cars. This means that the 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 has not only a strong engine but also many luxury features from the factory, such as power steering, power windows, power brakes, a leather interior, and an A/C unit.

1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 W-30 Black Vinyl Interior

The interior of this 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Holiday Coupe is designed to provide comfort and style for the driver and passengers. The front bucket seats are upholstered in vinyl, and feature chrome piping and plastic seatbacks and bases. The rear seats are bench-style, with a fold-down armrest.

The door panels, side panels, and armrest panel covers matched the seat upholstery and had chrome trim and handles. The carpet was made of loop material and had a sound deadener underneath to reduce noise. The dash is wood-grained and has a sporty instrument cluster with a tachometer, speedometer, fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, water temperature gauge, and ammeter.

    1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 W-30 V8 Engine

The engine in this 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Holiday Coupe is the optional W-30 General Motors 455 cubic-inch, 7.5 liter big-block V8 engine. This engine produces 370 horsepower and 500 lb.-ft. of torque, and is connected to a four-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. This Olds has an interesting story behind it, and you can learn more in the video.
