- Adamator Furia is Portugal’s first-ever supercar.
- Powered by a 641-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine, 0-62 mph is dispatched in 3.5 seconds.
- Only 60 examples will be produced at a price of $1.73 million apiece.
It seems like a new supercar maker pops up every day. Just this month, an ex-Koenigsegg designer unveiled the Nilu27 brand. But the subject of this article hails from Portugal and, despite appearances, isn’t just a second-rate Aston Martin Valkyrie. This dramatic-looking motorcar is the Adamator Furia, which is powered by a Ford-sourced 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine. It develops 641 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. Adamator says the Furia can run on synthetic fuel.
Those figures are nothing to scoff at, but we live in a world where electric hypercars produce nearly 2,000 hp. The Furia has a decent turn of speed, with a 0-62 mph sprint time of 3.5 seconds and a top whack of over 186 mph. This strong performance comes courtesy of a featherweight mass of 2,425 lbs (for the Race version). Adamator uses a Hewland LWS-200 racing transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddles and a limited-slip differential to transfer power to the rear wheels.

Under the bodywork, you’ll find decoupled double wishbone suspension. Six- and four-piston calipers at the front and rear, respectively, provide stopping power, while the Race version receives brake force variation. ABS and traction control are standard. The light curb weight is a result of the carbon fiber chassis and bodywork.

Sculpted for aerodynamic performance, the underbody has two air passages that optimize airflow and generate a claimed 2,204 lbs of downforce at 155 mph. The Race model generates an even more impressive 3,968 lbs of downforce at the same speed. The cabin can accommodate two passengers and, according to the Portuguese automaker, can be personalized to the owner’s liking.
Sorry, It Costs How Much?
Adamator plans to produce just 60 examples of the Furia, which makes it more exclusive than the Valkyrie or even the Mercedes-AMG One. Despite this exclusivity, the Furia is cheaper than the Aston Martin and AMG, but it is by no means affordable. The company says Portugal’s first-ever hypercar will retail for €1.6 million plus taxes ($1.73 million), which is a stupendous amount of money for a car from a relatively unknown brand.

It recently started reaching customers, and it looks as exciting as any two-seater.
It remains to be seen whether Adamator will sell the entire 60-vehicle allocation, particularly at these prices. The automaker is very ambitious, describing the Furia as a rival to the Valkyrie and prestigious brands such as Pagani and Rimac. Then again, Rimac, Koenigsegg, and Pagani were all once unheard of, so Adamator may very well be the next hot thing in supercar circles.
