According to Arval, a leasing provider of the French bank BNP Paribas, the parties signed a long-term pan-European partnership agreement “covering all aspects of mobility.” The cooperation started in the Netherlands and Sweden in September and will extend to Germany in 2024.
The cooperation complements Zeekr’s “One-Stop-Shop,” offering customers a single point of contact for all the services they need to easily transition to electric mobility.
Specifically, Arval will offer financing, full-service leasing and insurance services, while BNP Paribas Personal Finance will provide credit offers for car financing. The collaboration with Zeekr also includes another subsidiary: “BNP Paribas Cardif offers for insurances, Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) for full-fledged banking services, including Payment Services for Card transactions,” it says in the accompanying press release.
“Through these partners, Zeekr Finance, will be able to offer a full suite of products allowing customers to select the one that suits them best,” says Spiros Fotinos, CEO of Zeekr Europe. “This is a key element of our One-Stop-Shop strategy that bundles all EV related services into one place.”
BNP Paribas is already affiliated with the Geely Group. “We are also glad to extend our partnership within the Geely universe, in addition to our existing joint ventures in China and our cooperations with Volvo and Polestar in Europe,” says Charlotte Dennery, CEO of BNP Paribas Personal Finance.
Furthermore, Zeekr is expanding the distribution of its electric cars outside China. In the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain, Zeekr signed collaborations with local partners to deliver its Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X models in these countries from the first quarter of 2024.
