Fisker just started delivering its first electric SUV, the Ocean, but it’s already promising new future vehicles. The next EV in its lineup will take on Tesla’s Cybertruck, Ford’s F-150 Lightning and Rivian’s R1T: the Fisker Alaska.
At the end of a product event in Huntington Beach, California Thursday afternoon, CEO Henrik Fisker unveiled the Fisker Alaska. A compact four-door pickup truck, it features an extendable bed that goes from 4.5 feet to 7.5 and all the way up to 9.2 feet with the Houdini bed-cabin divider lowered.
CEO Fisker said with the extendable bed, the Alaska goes from a compact to closer to midsize. It looks like a Rivian with its rounded edges, but it’s sized more like a Hyundai Santa Cruz. Inside there’s a giant cup holder and reclaimed wood paneling—and don’t forget the cowboy hat holder.
Fisker claims it will have a range of 230 to 340 miles and be designed as the lightest EV pickup—all while piggybacking off of the Ocean’s sustainability goals using more recycled and bio-based materials.
How Much is the Fisker Alaska? When Will It Be Available?
Pricing is expected to start around $45,400 with deliveries at some point in 2025. It’s built on a stretched adaptation of the Fisker Ocean’s platform, called FT31.
Online reservations are now open for Alaska: It’s $250 for the first reservation, then $100 for a second. Reservations are fully refundable.
