The CX-90 is a handsome devil, looking like the CX-9 has been to the gym but without overdoing the protein shakes. However, it’s built on Mazda’s new Skyactiv Multi-Solution Architecture and has a 7.5-inch longer wheelbase – meaning it is a whole new vehicle over the CX-9 and Mazda’s biggest model yet. That means Mazda can offer the CX-90 with a six-, seven-, or eight-seat option with a third row large enough to house adults comfortably. However, cargo space isn’t fantastic
Inside, the CX-90 uses Mazda’s tried-and-true high-quality recipe that yields a sense of style and luxury above its contemporaries. Thoughtfully laid out physical buttons are also readily available to passengers and driver, while the relatively small infotainment screen is perfectly adequate, well-placed, and easily controlled via the rotary dial on the center console. There’s not a whole lot of clever storage in the cabin, but we didn’t want for more, either.
