Owning an iconic big-block Chevy is on every hardcore enthusiast’s wish list. Having two in their garage makes them blessed. The chances of winning two iconic big-block Chevy vehicles and someone else paying the taxes is a dream. That’s where Dream Giveaway (DG) comes in.

We told you about this pair of big-block Chevy icons currently up for adoption through DG’s Super Chevy Giveaway. Just in case you were busy in the garage and forgot to get your entries to possibly win these two awesome big-block cars, we’d like to remind you that the clock is ticking for the opportunity to own these two cars.

The folks at DG typically offer a duo of cars, including a classic joined with a late-model variant. But, for this giveaway, Chevy Hardcore readers will be pleased to know that for this giveaway, both are classic Chevy iron and both have iconic big-blocks under their hoods. As if the dream couldn’t get any – dreamier – the Dream Giveaway organizers pledge to pay $40,000 on your behalf for the federal taxes!

    1970 big-block Chevelle SS 454

    1970 Chevelle SS 454 Big-Block Chevy

Imagine putting a 1970 Chevelle SS big-block Chevy in your garage. This one has been endowed with the torquey-yet-sophisticated LS-5 454 engine. The LS-5 engine, unleashed in 1970 as a hot new version for a big-block Chevy, was engineered to be a powerhouse with a rating of 360 horsepower and an astonishing 500 lb-ft of torque. The LS-5 stood as the highest-horsepower big-block available in the Chevelle Super Sport when paired with factory air conditioning.

This 1970 Chevelle SS454 features the largest big-block Chevy engine you could get with air conditioning. The car also has power steering and brakes to make your high-torque ride more comfortable.

The LS5 Chevelle SS454 became the preference of many new car buyers, choosing it over the LS6 for the perfect blend of power and comfort. This Chevelle is nicely optioned with the LS5 454 cubic-inch V-8; a column-shifted Turbo 400 transmission, Positraction, air conditioning, and a cowl induction hood.

    1969 big-block Chevy Camaro SS396

The big-block Camaro SS396 has been updated with a bevy of go-fast goodies but retains all that iconic classic Chevy styling.

    1969 Big-Block Camaro SS

These high-horsepower L78 (396 cubic-inch) big-block Camaros were crafted to dominate the boulevards across America. This 1969 Camaro SS396 stands tall among them, showcasing a mind-blowing rebuild with its astonishingly low 14,000 original miles. The Camaro’s big-block was dyno-tested at nearly 500 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. The car comes with dyno sheets and other documentation for the winner. There’s also the exceptional houndstooth interior, center console with console-mounted gauge package, and horseshoe floor shifter to wrap you in a pure ‘60s Chevy vibe as you drive.

The 396 cubic-inch engine under the hood has been upgraded with aluminum heads, headers, and several other upgrades that bring its output well over what it had from the factory. Gauges inside the console keep tabs on its operation and share space with that cool horseshoe shifter.

The 2024 Super Chevy Dream Giveaway is open now and the opportunity to get your ticket(s) ends on August 15, 2024. As a valued Chevy Hardcore reader, you can also increase your odds of winning through bonus tickets on purchases of $25 or more. When the winning ticket is selected, the winner will receive this Grand Prize featuring not just one, but two legends—a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport and a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport. Be sure to get your entries for a chance to win both of these big-block Chevy icons and just as the name implies, for one lucky enthusiast, it’ll be a dream come true!
