The National Street Rod Association (NSRA) gears up for a momentous occasion – the 50th NSRA East! This annual event brings together car enthusiasts from the eastern United States to celebrate classic automotive excellence. From May 31st to June 2nd, 2024, the York Expo Center in York, Pennsylvania, will be transformed into a haven for street rods, hot rods, muscle cars, and custom cars. A Weekend Full of Activities
Event Director Tom Wilkerson has curated a thrilling weekend packed with activities to commemorate this special occasion. The festivities kick off on Friday, May 31st, at 8:00 am, as a stunning array of custom cars roll onto the grounds of the York Expo Center. Attendees can explore the UMPC Arena and Memorial Hall, which open at 9:00 am, to discover a wide range of automotive products from manufacturers and dealers.
The Builders Showcase will feature top custom car builders from the Eastern US, displaying their latest creations. Immerse yourself in the Street Rod Nationals East memorabilia display and explore the automotive swap meet to find that elusive automotive part you’ve been searching for. Nick Donovan’s Rockin’ Road Show entertains attendees throughout the day, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Special Attractions
The 50th Street Rod Nationals East will feature several special attractions that are sure to captivate car enthusiasts. Witness the NSRA Nitro Knockout, where dragsters will fire up throughout Friday and Saturday. On Saturday, a bevy of awards will be presented, including Pro’s Picks, Outstanding Use of Color awards, ISCA Picks, and selections by NSRA representatives. These exceptional vehicles will be showcased in the exclusive Circle of Winners on Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Artistic Showmanship
In Memorial Hall, over twenty talented pinstripers nationwide will showcase their skills by striping various items, including apparel and automotive parts. These one-of-one creations will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The East Coast Brush Brigade, led by auctioneer Casandra Seth, will ensure an exciting bidding experience. Additionally, don’t miss the Pin Up Girl contest and Best Men’s Beard contest presented by Stella Von Scarlett and the Hot Rod Honey’s on Saturday.
Evening Entertainment
Saturday night promises a fantastic evening of entertainment with “Flamin’ Dick and the Hot Rods” belting out your favorite 50’s & 60’s music in the Old Main building on the fairgrounds. Get ready to dance the night away and relive the golden era of rock ‘n’ roll!
Spotlight Builder
The 50th Street Rod Nationals East proudly shines the spotlight on Posies Rod & Customs of Hummelstown, PA, as the Spotlight Builder. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Posies Rod & Customs has been producing some of the most outstanding customs on the planet for years. Don’t miss the opportunity to witness their exceptional craftsmanship firsthand!
Admission and Ticket Information
Spectator ticket hours are from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm on Sunday. Ticket prices are $20.00 for individuals aged 13 and older, $6.00 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and under when accompanied by an adult. Families can enjoy the event for $45.00, which includes admission for 2 adults and 3 children (12 years & younger). Discounts of $2.00 are offered to active military, seniors over 60, and NSRA members, all with proper identification. Please note that only one discount is applicable per person.
