The company constantly toes the line between offering reasonable vehicle upgrades and complete, balls-to-the-wall overhauls that completely transform your family hauler into a rocket ship. The best part about many of these changes is they are endorsed and supported by Audi USA, so you won’t have to worry about ruining your warranty and can even get the upgrades fitted at your local Audi dealer.
Upgraded Performance
Power upgrades are always the most fun part to talk about, and luckily here, they’re pretty substantial. The 2024 Q8 comes equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that produces 335 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, good enough for a 5.5-second sprint to 60 mph. With a new $1,990 tune, the company was able to extract nearly 70 hp and 40 lb-ft of torque, bumping those numbers up to 400 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque. This should be good enough to get your 0-60 mph closer to 5 seconds flat.

For the SQ8 tune, the performance is much more substantial. The twin-turbo V8 in the stock model produces a respectable 500 hp and 569 lb-ft of torque, but thanks to a new $3,990 engine control unit, Abt bumps that up to 640 hp and 626 lb-ft of torque. These are wild numbers for a family-hauling SUV and even put it ahead of the pricey RS Q8 in terms of raw power.
Enhanced Looks
Now that you have all that new power, you’re going to need the looks to match. For 2024, the tuner is offering a new roof wing and carbon fiber inserts on the body, and underneath, it’s offering 23-inch (22-inch available) Abt High Performance GR or HR wheels in “Glossy Black.” The company says these wheels are not only milled from one piece, but they’re also up to 40% lighter than many OEM wheels. Expect more aesthetic upgrades before the year is out.
On the inside, the looks are subtle, with only the addition of a carbon fiber shift knob and carbon fiber-coated dashboard side panels and front seat panels. The company says all of these upgrades are available on its website or through a registered dealer. If you’re interested in something, spring for it, because you won’t regret making the other parents in the school pickup line jealous.
