The 2025 McLaren Artura Spider’s engine update also applies to the coupe version, with updates for existing models available from the manufacturer at no cost. The older model Arturas have 671 hp but the 2025 models see a revision to the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 and E-motor setup that results in improved specs of 690 hp, although torque stays the same at 531 lb-ft.
The higher outputs mean the Artura Spider will do 0-60 mph in three seconds and 0-124 in 8.4 seconds. Top speed arrives at 205 mph. The transmission calibration has been revised, and the pre-fill feature means gear shifts are 25% quicker in the new Artura Spider. Power goes to the rear wheels via an electronically controlled differential.
Launch control is naturally standard, but there’s a new “Spinning Wheel Pull-Away” feature, which is basically a burnout mode that allows you to spin up the wheels from a standstill with a heavy right foot. Other improvements include new powertrain mounts, revisions to the Proactive Damping Control system for quicker responses, and improved braking power, thanks to the new brake cooling ducts and better thermal management. The stoppers are carbon ceramic brake discs with enhanced aluminum calipers.
A change that is only available for MY2025 Arturas is the redesigned valved exhaust system that unleashes a new sound. It can be switched out for an optional sport exhaust system, too.
