If those rear lights look familiar to some of our European readers, it’s because Callaway borrowed them from the Opel/Vauxhall Tigra, a compact ’90s sports coupe.
While the exterior can turn necks, the interior will leave you underwhelmed with its design. Some of the plastics (early 2000s GM) leave much to be desired, but Callaway did at least trim the dashboard, center console, seats, door cards, and steering wheel in two-tone leather upholstery. Luxury features include dual-zone climate control, power windows, and a Kenwood audio system with Bose speakers.
Just 19 units were produced, with the C12 plaque on the center console denoting this as the 18th. Earnhardt Jr.’s autograph can be found on the lining of the detachable roof deck.
At the time of writing, the highest bid stands at $72,000, which isn’t a lot of money for one of the greatest Callaway creations. But with five days to go until the auction concludes, that price may suddenly shoot up.
