Although not radically different, there are quite a few detail changes to the BMW 4 Series Convertible’s exterior. Redesigned LED headlights have a single LED module that now powers both low and high beams. Vertical, arrow-shaped LED units function as daytime running lights and turn signal indicators, further modernizing the look. On 430i variants, there is a mesh structure for the air intakes of the forward-angled grille, with a surround newly finished in matte chrome.
Optional on the 430i and standard on the M440i are new Laserlight taillights with laser diodes illuminating glass fiber bundles. They give off an attractive high-tech vibe when illuminated.
There have also been changes to the wheels and colors for the BMW 4 Series Convertible. Cape York Green and Vegas Red are two new metallics, joining a total of 10 main paint colors outside of the BMW individual paints.
New 19-inch wheel designs can be fitted with either mixed-performance or all-season tires. A Y-spoke design for the first one is standard on the M440i and optional on the 430i, with either Jet Black or bi-color finishes. Alternatively, the new BMW Individual alloy wheel design with a bi-color Midnight Grey finish is optional on both variants.
An available M Carbon Exterior Package adds mirror caps in carbon fiber-reinforced plastic, while the M440i models get a carbon fiber Gurney lip rear spoiler.
