K&F Show Summary:
Friends, after the debacle in the February Patreon Show our man Corndog put Kibbe on suspension for one single show. Luckily it was with full pay, full benefits, and zero accountability. Kibbe will be back next week!
As many of you have requested, pull up a chair around Uncle Corndog to hear the REAL story of the Wheelstander General Lee, built by Richard Sephton at the tail end of the filming of the Dukes of Hazzard TV series.
Rich was one of the builders of the car used on TV, and the wheelstander was his brainchild. (For those of you who are fans of Roadkill, this was “Stubby Bob” before there was a Stubby Bob!) There was rumor that it might send Bo and Luke off into the sunset in the final Dukes episode, but in the end it never did make it’s way onscreen.
Corndog DOES know the story of the building of the car…as well as the long saga that followed it. There were repos, broken hearts, and misled buyers. Today the car does sit in the Volo Museum, but the story of how it got there is different than you may have heard on VinWiki.
For our Patreon members, if you were called out as “Most Deserving” by Corndog in this episode, please PM Rob your address. KF Stickers will be on the way to you!
-CD, Bern, and (on suspension) Kibbe
p.s. Wanna see something cool? Popular Hot Rodding did an article on this car way back in the day and Corndog posted it long ago. Enjoy! https://www.angelfire.com/ms2/corndog05dukes/hotrodding1185.html

Also in this episode….the good people at National Parts Depot have to decided 2023 is the year to present the Award Winning Newsman Bernie McPartland in his (self-proclaimed) award winning news segment, Bernie On the News. As most of you know, NPD is the title sponsor of The MuscleCar Place Podcast and has been since 2011. Their immense support of TMCP as a show (and as a company) can’t be overshadowed.
And now, the fact that they are presenting Bern in the drivers seat for the world to hear….is somewhat humbling. And by humbling, we mean frightening, terrifying, sickening, etc. Welcome, NPD (and Bern, don’t screw this up)!
