There isn’t much information available about the interior of the VinFast VF 7, but a glimpse of what to expect inside is available from the pictures the manufacturer made available. These show off an uncluttered cockpit with a streamlined dashboard and minimal hard buttons and controls. The flat-bottomed steering wheel looks neat, and the two-tone interior with matching contrast stitching, seen below, indicates this is representative of the Plus trim. Whereas the base Eco trims get a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, the Plus model gets a 15-inch display, both angled toward the driver.
We know the VinFast VF 7 seats five, and as a small family car, won’t be as spacious as the VF 8 that preceded it. We do know that there will be only two interior colors to choose from in the VF 7 and that vegan leather will be standard fare.
As for standard features, the new VinFast VF 7 crossover SUV will have eight airbags as standard and come with rollover mitigation, lane centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and Highway Assist (Level 2) off the factory floor. Top-end models get access to rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot detection, door-opening warning, and a surround-view monitor. In Vietnam, both trims come with the VF Connect Package with smart features like a virtual assistant and in-car voice control. It remains to be seen what will carry over to the US market.
Cargo space in VinFast’s VF 7 hasn’t been confirmed, but we’d guess it’s not going to be class-leading, considering the VF 8 is way below par and has a similar shape and setup. That car only has 13.2 cubic feet of trunk volume behind the second row, maxing out at 48.4 cubes with the seats folded. The VF 7 will manage less than this, although we expect the sub-three-cubic-foot frunk to carry over.
