A Tesla hacker claims to have gathered more information about the new Model 3 Performance trim rumored to be heading our way in the coming months, including details on new, sportier seats.
Shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), @greentheonly believes the Performance derivative will receive a different seat design than the lesser RWD and Dual Motor AWD variants. The Tesla Model 3 will be compatible with two seat designs, “Base” and “Sport”. The latter will reportedly be used in the Performance and feature more substantial side bolsters with a sportier design and different headrests.
Furthermore, the revised Model 3 will have a new rear bench, with the middle passenger benefiting from a headrest. The Performance trim could undoubtedly benefit from more supportive pews; with a 0-60 time of 3.1 seconds and reasonably engaging handling, one could say it’s essential. We’re glad Tesla is addressing this.
