The EC6 is an electric SUV coupé that Nio first launched in 2020. In the course of the transition from the first to the second platform generation (now platform NT 2.0), Nio took the EC6 off the market in the meantime, as well as the electric debut duo ES8 and ES6. With the comeback of the SUV coupé, all original models are now available again in China. In addition to the new series launched from the start on the NT 2.0 platform, such as the ET5 or the ES7 (on the market in Europe under the name EL7) and EC7.
The new EC6 measures 4,849 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width and 1,697 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,915 mm. The new edition comes with a 360 kW all-wheel drive system that combines a 150 kW engine in the front and a 210 kW engine in the rear. Powertrain specifications match those of the new ES6, ET5 and ET5 Touring.
The EC6 also has the same LiDAR and camera setup on the roof as the other NT 2.0-based models – and the look of the front and rear lights is also in line with the manufacturer’s current design language.
Including the battery, the new EC6 costs from 358,000 yuan (about 46,000 euros) with 75 kWh capacity and 416,000 yuan (about 53,400 euros) with 100 kW. Those who rent the battery will get the new EC6 from 288,000 yuan (about 37,000 euros) plus 980 yuan (126 euros) monthly for the 75-kWh battery or 1,680 yuan (216 euros) for the 100-kWh battery.
