The exterior of the pre-facelift Kia Carnival was lauded for its SUV-like styling, doing away with the frumpy image associated with minivans. For this facelifted model, Kia seems to have drawn inspiration from its EV lineup, incorporating touches from its Opposites United design language.
The changes in front are pronounced, with new vertically-shaped headlights. They feature Signature Starmap Lighting daytime running lights. A reshaped grille with new black detailing is equipped, while the bumper and lower skid plate also receive changes. Along the side, a character line visually connects the corners of the new front and rear lighting clusters. Kia has also equipped new EV9-like alloy wheel designs.
At the back, the taillights also gain a new vertical shape that mirrors the headlights. The license plate sits a bit lower than before, too.
In its domestic market, exterior colors for the Kia Carnival include Ivory Silver, Snow White Pearl, Astra Blue, Aurora Black Pearl, Pantera Pearl, and Ceramic Silver. Local models could add Flare Red and Deep Chroma Blue, which are currently offered on 2024 Carnivals.
Kia also mentioned a new Gravity design-specific trim with unique wheels, a bespoke grille, and a blacked-out treatment for the roof rack, C-pillar, door garnish, front/rear skid plates, and tailgate. We hope to see this on home soil, too.
