The exterior of the Cadillac Optiq isn’t entirely unfamiliar since it embodies the design language we’ve grown used to from both the Lyriq and the larger Celestiq. From the very limited images that have been shared with us, we see the crossover body shape that mimics the Lyriq, with a few changes to the front end. Similar headlights are present, with elongated vertical light bars at the corners of the front fascia, but whereas the Lyriq has a large, digital grille, the Optiq is more understated, with a front fascia split by body-colored paneling.
The rear also shares many similarities, with the same vertical lighting signature at the lower corners, although the Optiq has vertical lighting higher up, framing the rear window without cutting across the width of the trunk as on the Lyriq. The Optiq’s roof also has blacked-out A- and C-pillars to create a floating roof look and a small roof-mounted spoiler to underscore that this is likely a sportier car than the Lyriq is.
It’s too soon to know what colors the Cadillac Optiq will be available in, but we like the orange shown in these pics as a more youthful color than what we’re accustomed to from the Lyriq’s palette.
