Workhorses like the ProMaster lineup don’t have much going for them in terms of aesthetics, and the exterior of the electric Ram ProMaster van isn’t revolutionary. You do get standard LED headlights and foglights, however, with 70% more Lumens and 50% more range than on the gas-powered models, and improved outward visibility for the driver.
There will be two configurations of the electric ProMaster – a delivery van and a cargo van in various shapes and sizes – with the former already available to order. The delivery vans get a roll-up door for easy cargo loading, which is made from anodized aluminum for weight savings, but there’s also a ‘pocket door’ for making ingress and egress easy when sorting through items to deliver.
Naturally, the Ram ProMaster BEV will allow for extensive upfitting, but other than the blue badging designating it as the electric version, it looks much the same as the gas-powered models we’re accustomed to. This includes steel wheels (16-inch items are standard on the gas versions) and a fuss-free front end.
We don’t expect anything groundbreaking in terms of exterior colors for the Ram ProMaster EV, and it’s likely the usual array of solid colors will carry over.
